Jennie Hillman - About Astanga Yoga


I teach Dynamic Vinyasa Flow Yoga, where the postures are co-ordinated with the breath to create a dynamic yet meditative practice. The classes are inspired by the Jivamukti method, as founded by the great yogis David Life and Sharon Gannon. They have a devotional, bhakti approach, using music, poetry and occasionally chanting.

Whilst strength, flexibility and fitness (even weight loss!) are achieved, the mind is calmed, leading to mental clarity, focus and peace. Creative sequencing is developed, to energise and uplift, and individual hands-on adjustments help to deepen the practice.
